The growth in music exports has been powered by British artists and labels successfully harnessing the global reach of streaming, with 300 British artists already achieving more than 100 million streams annually. Indeed, more than 500 UK artists now achieve 50 million streams per year or more, part of a rapidly expanding cohort of British talent for whom streaming is already generating a significant annual income, even before taking into account earnings from physical and digital sales, TV/radio, brand partnerships and, in normal times, live performances.
On 13 February 2020, Smith revealed that a third studio album, then titled To Die For, was scheduled to be released on 1 May.[71] On 30 March, Smith announced that, due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, they would be delaying the release of their third album and would include a number of changes to the album track list and the title, as they would continue to work on it. However, they did state that it would still be released sometime within 2020.[72] "I'm Ready", a collaboration with American singer Demi Lovato was released on 16 April and charted well in the top 40 of several countries.[73] On 6 July, Smith released their cover of Coldplay's "Fix You". They had originally performed the song earlier in May for the iHeartRadio Living Room Series.[72] On 17 September, they released a new single, "Diamonds", and then announced the new title for their third album, Love Goes, which was released on 30 October.[74] On 29 September they announced that they would be performing a livestream concert on 30 October from Abbey Road Studios in London, their only live performance of 2020.[75] The concert featured guest appearances by British actress Jade Anouka on "My Oasis" and singer Labrinth on "Love Goes", and included a cover version of "Time After Time", which drew praise from the song's original singer and writer Cyndi Lauper.[76] The concert was recorded and released as a live album, Love Goes: Live at Abbey Road Studios, on 19 March 2021.[77] The same year, Smith recorded a cover of "You Will Be Found", in collaboration with Summer Walker, for the soundtrack album of the 2021 film adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen. Their version of the song also plays during the closing credits of the film itself.[78]
Confined to a cramped New York apartment for their entire lives, The Wolfpack follows six brothers whose only connection to the outside world were the films their father brought home for them to watch. Cut off from the city outside their front door, the brothers escape their stifling environment by reenacting scenes from their favorite films with painstaking detail. But when one of the brothers defies their father's strict instructions to remain inside, the brothers' world slowly starts to open up.

The Covid-19 pandemic has meant people are using technology more for communication, general engagement, and for work or school. According to Ofcom, adults in the UK spent an average of four hours online per day in April 2020, up from three and a half hours a day in September 2019.
A report by UK Music, the UK music industry body, has highlighted the true impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the industry. The findings from This Is Music 2021 revealed that the industry's economic contribution fell by 46% from 5.8billion in 2019 to 3.1billion in 2020. Employment also fell by 35% from 197,000 in the previous year to 128,000, as music festivals and live events were cancelled and studios and venues were forced to close.
Viewers abroad can still get all the gossip, watch recouplings around the fire pit, bombshell walk ins, and beach hut confessions. They can also avoid having to catch up on episodes, or getting potential spoilers from social media.
Another benefit of using a VPN is the added online security, which allows you to keep your web history completely private. Of course this is good to know if you're using it to watch Love Island, or any other series abroad but it's also beneficial for UK viewers too. 2ff7e9595c
